March 5, 2012 – University of Western Ontario law student Julie Menten was the big winner at this year’s OTLA Cup Competition. Hosted by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the annual OTLA Cup competition provides law students with a unique opportunity to develop and demonstrate their advocacy skills in the courtroom environment. OTLA presses FSCO on review of catastrophic impairment

OTLA speaks out against biased media coverage
A recent opinion piece in the Toronto Star’s “Wheels” section took aim at the legal profession and third party claims, citing skyrocketing litigation costs as “another reason the system needs fixing.” Naturally, we could not let that stand without some comment from OTLA.
