Professor Craig Jones, Q.C. Thompson Rivers University, BC
Craig Jones is a Professor of Law at Thompson Rivers University. His current field of research is the psychology of judicial decision-making, and his two recent articles are "The Troubling New Science of Legal Persuasion" and "Justice as Rounding Error" (with Micah Rankin), published in the Advocates' Quarterly and Osgoode Hall Law Journal, respectively.
He has lectured on this topic across Canada and in the United States, including an invited presentation at the Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition (SARMAC IV). He is also an experienced civil and constitutional litigator, and maintains a part-time practice as Associate Counsel at a Vancouver firm. Professor Jones is a graduate of UBC Faculty of Law and Harvard Law School.

A courtesy room block has been set-up at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel. Room rate is $190.00 single/double occupancy. Additional guests are $30.00 per person per night.
Rooms are booked for the night of October 27 & 28, 2015 with pre & post nights available as well.
The Hotel agrees to hold the rate for the guestrooms until September 30, 2015 or until our standard rooms are sold out. The Hotel will continue to accept reservations, however, after this date; rooms will be subject to availability and prevailing rates.

CPD Credits
OTLA is an Accredited Provider of Professionalism Content by The Law Society of Upper Canada
OTLA is required by the LSUC to keep attendance records for all of our conferences and we do so by tracking that you have picked up your badge and materials. Without doing so, CPD credits cannot be awarded. OTLA and licensed members may, at any time, be subject to a LSUC audit for CPD credits.
There will be no cancellation fee if OTLA receives your cancellation at least 2 weeks prior to the event. For cancellations received 14 - 8 days prior, an administration fee of $50 will be charged. For cancellations received 7 days prior, an administrative fee of $215.00 will be charged. For all cancellations, if a binder was ordered for the CLE then the member will also be charged for those materials and they will be forwarded following the event. The Executive Director of OTLA, at her sole discretion, can waive these charges.
