Join us for a 75 minute webinar presented by Jennifer Bezaire, Greg Monforton & Partners, Gina Matesic and Agnes Agnelli of DMA Rehability.
This webinar will focus on catastrophic determination using the Glasgow Outcome Scale – E (GOS-E). We will review the administration and scoring of the GOS-E Structured Interview, including the importance of the Form 1 Assessment of Attendant Care Needs, the client’s ability to return to work, and the client’s ability to perform his or her daily and social activities. We will also discuss the challenges with the GOS-E and how and when to best to use it to successfully obtain catastrophic determination for brain impaired individuals.

Jennifer Bezaire, Greg Monforton & Partners
Jennifer joined Greg Monforton & Partners as an associate lawyer in 2004 and became a full partner of the firm in 2013.
While focusing her practice primarily on representing persons injured in car crashes, slip & falls and medical malpractice, Jen also manages the firms Statutory Accident Benefits department, coordinates the law student program and teaches the Automobile Insurance Law course to students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor.
Jennifer specializes in catastrophic injury claims and has extensive experience in the law of Statutory Accident Benefits (no-fault auto insurance benefits) where she advocates forcefully for her clients at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).
She articled and was an associate lawyer at Fraser, Milner, Casgrain LLP (now Denton's LLP) in Toronto before joining Greg Monforton & Partners. While in Toronto, Jennifer's practice was primarily focused on corporate/commercial litigation and insurance defence litigation.
Jennifer is an extremely organized lawyer who works hard to ensure her clients receive the compensation they deserve in a fast and efficient manner.
Gina Matesic, DMA Rehability
Gina has been a practicing as a qualified occupational therapist for more than 25 years. Her clinical practice has primarily focused in the areas of neurological disorders and complex injuries, including traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
Over the past number of years Gina has worked with DMARehability, assessing and treating individuals who have sustained serious injury, as a result of a motor vehicle collision, involving neurological injuries, multiple orthopedic and multiple trauma injuries.
Gina has worked diligently to bridge the transition from Hospital to home, by providing assessment, treatment and the necessary support, allowing injured individuals to pursue preinjury activities.
Throughout her career, Gina has continued her passion of learning, through participation in conferences, seminars and courses primarily pertaining to acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, rehabilitation and clinical practice. Gina has been an active member in her community providing leadership to the Windsor & Middlesex Brain Injury Association and Brain Injury Association of Chatham Kent, through participation in group sessions and provision of information and education to members. Gina is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT).
Agnes Agnelli, DMA Rehability
In 1987, Agnes earned her Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Her early years were spent at Peel Memorial Hospital, in Brampton, and Toronto General Hospital. She would return to London, accepting a position at University Hospital and The Arthritis Society.
In 1991, Agnes’ life took her to Milan, Italy where she pursued working as a product specialist for Smith & Nephew, and did consultation work for the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Society. Upon her return to Canada in 1993, she founded Rehability Occupational Therapy Inc.
Her positive energy and passion was ignited to assist those injured, as a result of a motor vehicle collisions. As the demand for services grew Agnes began growing her team, hiring and training occupational therapists with experience and specialties in various clinical areas. Recognizing a need for multidisciplinary services and community programs, Rehability Occupational Therapy and Disability Management Associates merged operations in 1998 becoming DMARehability.
The organization has continued to grow in numbers, services, disciplines and geographic coverage. DMARehability is a recognized leader in the provision of quality rehabilitation and disability management services in the auto, health and disability, medical legal and employer markets.
Throughout her 33 year career Agnes, has continued to follow her passion of learning and mentoring new Clinicians. She has been an invited guest lecturing at multiple conferences and academic programs. Agnes is a Co-Founder and Board Member of HABIT (Helping Acquired Brain Injury Treatment) as well sits on the Board as Director with the London & Middlesex Brain Injury Association.
