Barry B. Papazian Q.C., Papazian Heisey Myers
Barry Papazian, Q.C. is a partner at Papazian Heisey Myers. His practice is restricted to litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defence, including professional liability defence of insurance brokers, life insurance agents, and financial planners and advisors. Barry has been a member of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, and has acted in the past as Chairman of Insurance Advisory Boards with respect to discipline of life agents. Barry is a Queen’s Counsel and has been certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation since 1995. Barry is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. He has been a participant and lecturer at numerous insurance-related Continuing Professional Development programs, including some organized by the Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Bar Association, and Plaintiff and Defendant Bar Associations.
D. Joel Dick, Howie Sacks & Henry LLP
Joel is a partner at Howie Sacks and Henry. His peers have voted him onto to the Best Lawyers Canada list and the Law Society of Ontario has recognized him as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. Joel’s practice is focused on personal injury, long term disability, and solicitor’s negligence litigation. He has argued successfully in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario and has handled the full range of personal injury claims, from slip and falls, to amputations and catastrophic brain injury.
