Jennifer Bezaire, Greg Monforton & Partners
Jennifer joined Greg Monforton & Partners as an associate lawyer in 2004 and became a full partner of the firm in 2013.
While focusing her practice primarily on representing persons injured in car crashes, slip & falls and medical malpractice, Jen also manages the firms Statutory Accident Benefits department, coordinates the law student program and teaches the Automobile Insurance Law course to students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor.
Jennifer specializes in catastrophic injury claims and has extensive experience in the law of Statutory Accident Benefits (no-fault auto insurance benefits) where she advocates forcefully for her clients at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).
She articled and was an associate lawyer at Fraser, Milner, Casgrain LLP (now Denton's LLP) in Toronto before joining Greg Monforton & Partners. While in Toronto, Jennifer's practice was primarily focused on corporate/commercial litigation and insurance defence litigation.
Jennifer is an extremely organized lawyer who works hard to ensure her clients receive the compensation they deserve in a fast and efficient manner.
Philippa Geddie , Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee
Philippa Geddie was called to the bar in 2010 and acted as counsel for the Office of the Children's Lawyer and as an associate in a litigation boutique before joining the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee in 2011.
As senior counsel for the Public Guardian and Trustee's Guardianship Investigations Unit, Philippa advocates for persons with diminished capacity who have been placed at serious risk by financial exploitation, fraud, medical abuse, neglect, or the negligence of third parties.
As counsel for the Guardianship Services Department, Philippa provides a full range of legal services to the individuals for whom the Public Guardian and Trustee acts as guardian of property, in areas ranging from personal injury to family law. In addition, she acts on behalf of the Public Guardian and Trustee in drafting reports under Rule 7 of the Rules of Civil Procedure on the merits of proposed settlements involving parties under a disability.
She has spoken before numerous institutions and agencies, from the Ontario Police College to representatives of the Osaka High Court, on navigating legal situations when diminished capacity is an issue.
